Union Hospital is seeking a GI Technician to join their team of devoted caregivers. Within this rewarding role, you will work under the direction of a Licensed Nurse or Physical to perform multiple types of patient care activities and services including cleaning, disinfection, clerical, receptionist, patient education, and more. Your primary duties will include but are not limited to: - Performing rounds on patients in prep/observations areas to meet their needs and enhance their experience. - Preparing charts, tracking patients in Op Time, and communicating to RN all special patients' needs. - Assisting with equipment management by troubleshooting and following up on all equipment issues. The Ideal caregiver is someone who: - Has strong communication skills. - Has a High School Diploma or GED and current BCLS. - Works well in a close-knit, teambuilding environment. - Has a Medical Assistant Certification or minimum one year hospital experience using medical technology. - Can provide empathy and compassion in a patient-centered environment.
